Rest assured: We’re still the same team in the same West Des Moines location. Joey Hinke continues to hold ownership in TRICOR and not only sits on the Executive Council but also serves as President of Western Region. This merger expands our service offerings and geographical footprint.

For the Vibrant Insurance Group, this merger means Vibrant is now a TRICOR Insurance company. While our team is now employed by TRICOR Insurance, we are still guided through the leadership of Joey Hinke who is now the President of TRICOR Western Region. Our account managers all remain in our West Des Moines office, and we are still your local contact for insurance planning and support.
For Vibrant clients, there is no interruption or change to policy coverage. We sent this notice for the purpose of transparency. You may notice references to TRICOR in your coverage or online, and we didn’t want you to be caught by surprise or confused. You can still look forward to the friendly services and faces you’re comfortable with among our team!
Your current policies are unaffected. Upon renewal, we will review your coverage as we always do and provide recommendations if we determine updates or changes are needed. We retain the same relationships with our current carriers and have the added advantage of more carrier partners and service lines through TRICOR.

As Vibrant becomes part of TRICOR, the merging of our companies and administrative processes will happen over time. You may begin to see branding updates introduced gradually over the next 6–18 months, rather than all at once. These changes are part of a steady, intentional transition designed to minimize disruption while everything continues to operate as usual.

TRICOR Insurance began in 1945 as a small independent, family-owned insurance company in Lancaster, Wisconsin. In 1982, David Fritz, current TRICOR CEO, and his brother Bruce, purchased the company from their parents. Now, TRICOR has grown to include local teams in each of their locations across the
Midwest, including Iowa. All office locations are 100% locally controlled and operated.
